Battle is on the middle of each good story. Whether or not it’s conflict within an individual, between characters, or the protagonist’s surroundings, it’s the aspect of the story that creates stress and pleasure for the reader.
All works of fiction will have a central conflict. Whether it’s a private detective making an attempt to unravel the mysterious disappearance of a shopper’s cat or an undersized protagonist preventing for his dream of playing in a highschool wrestling workforce, the conflict is what drives each brief story and novel ever published. Without it, it’s simply individuals wandering about aimlessly.
Most tales, though, don’t simply rely on a single conflict. Instead, nearly all of good stories really integrate layers of conflict.
